I have worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Service for over 32 year and Al was one of my first acquaintances within Agency. My dad (from Nocona) also worked for the same agency back in the 1960ýs & early 70ýs and knew Al. I have always thought that our profession was one of the most honorable and unselfish on any on earth. I feel that Al exemplified that dedication as much as anyone in the USDA. It was an honor and a privilege to have known Al and I always respected his opinion and welcomed his ideas and knowledge. Al will be greatly missed not only by his friends and family but also by mother earth and those dedicated toward the preservation of our natural resources.
